  • Our tours operate with a minimum of 2 participants and a maximum of 12 participants per group. We also welcome customized smaller group tours.

  • Please consult our customer service at least 30 days prior to your intended departure to confirm availability and ensure all booking details are in order.

2. Inclusions and Exclusions

Included:

  • All costs related to the planned itinerary, including accommodation, activities, and any guided tours, unless stated otherwise in your specific package details.

Excluded:

  • Airport Transfers: Transfers to and from the airport are not included. On the day of arrival, please make your own way to the meeting point at the designated hotel in Chengdu.

    • Arrival Instructions: On your arrival day (D1), you can book flights to either Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport or Chengdu Tianfu International Airport. Both airports are connected to the city by metro and airport buses. Chengdu Shuangliu Airport is closer to the city center.

    • Departure Instructions: On the last day (D7), if your flight departs between 8:00 AM and 2:00 PM from Daocheng Yading Airport, please coordinate with our trip manager for transfer assistance.

  • Additional Fees:

    • In some cases, local village committees may charge cleaning fees, which are to be borne by participants.

    • Transportation to remote areas may be provided by local residents using private vans, and any such transportation costs are the responsibility of the participant.

3. Conditions of Participation

  • Age and Health Restrictions: Participants must be between 5 and 70 years old, in good health, and free from any medical conditions that may pose risks in high-altitude environments.

    • Those with the following conditions are advised not to join:

      • Heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, respiratory diseases (e.g., asthma, chronic bronchitis), high cholesterol, mental health conditions, or pregnancy.

    • Participants aged 60-70 must meet the above health criteria and sign a liability waiver.

  • High-Altitude Precautions:

    • Western Sichuan is a high-altitude region with limited water and electricity supply. Occasional power and water outages may occur, and hot water may be inconsistent. Please prepare accordingly with personal hygiene items and a flashlight.

    • To reduce health risks, participants should undergo a thorough physical examination prior to entering high-altitude areas.

  • Emergency Situations: Should any unforeseeable circumstances such as extreme weather, policy changes, or other uncontrollable factors affect the itinerary, our guide or driver may adjust the trip after consultation with you. Any additional costs incurred due to such changes are the responsibility of the participant, while any reductions in cost will be refunded accordingly.

4. Cancellations and Refunds

  • You may cancel your booking according to the following schedule:

    • 15 days or more before departure: Full refund.

    • 10 to 14 days before departure: 90% refund.

    • 1 to 3 days before departure: 30% refund.

    • Cancellation on the day of departure or after the trip starts: No refund.

  • Some tour resources (e.g., hotels, transportation) may require advance booking. In such cases, cancellations may incur additional business losses, including but not limited to costs related to lodging, transport, and guide services.

5. Travel Insurance

  • Travel insurance is mandatory for all participants. Please provide accurate personal information when booking (name, contact details, identification number) to ensure your insurance is processed correctly.

6. Safety and Responsibility

  • Participants are responsible for following all safety guidelines and respecting the local culture and customs. Western Sichuan, as a Tibetan region, has different customs and religious practices. Please adhere to the guidelines provided by your guide and avoid discussing sensitive political topics.

  • Participants must not leave the group during non-free time without prior notice and must sign a release form if leaving the group.

  • Shanhaizhijian is not responsible for any incidents that occur if a participant fails to follow safety advice, such as altitude sickness due to poor acclimatization, strenuous activity in high-altitude areas, or other preventable health issues.

7. Personal Information and Privacy

  • Shanhaizhijian will collect personal information (name, age, health conditions) as required for your trip. This information will be used solely for ensuring your safety and trip logistics.

  • We retain the rights to use any photos, videos, or other media taken during the trip for promotional purposes, while respecting participant privacy.

8. Force Majeure

Shanhaizhijian is not liable for any delays or changes to the itinerary caused by force majeure events, including but not limited to natural disasters, political unrest, or government-imposed travel restrictions.

9. Complaints and Dispute Resolution

  • If you encounter any issues with the trip, please address them promptly with your guide or driver. If the problem cannot be resolved on-site, you may contact our trip manager. Complaints made after the trip without prior notification during the journey will not be accepted.

  • In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to attempt mediation before seeking legal action.

10. High-Altitude Travel Tips

  • We advise participants to perform aerobic exercises before the trip to build up tolerance to low-oxygen environments.

  • Pack essentials like medication for altitude sickness, warm clothing, and sun protection. Temperature fluctuations can be extreme in high-altitude areas, with differences of 15-20°C between day and night.

  • Avoid strenuous activity during the first few days at high altitudes and ensure you are well-rested before flying into high-altitude regions.

By booking with Shanhaizhijian/GoPagoda, you agree to all the terms and conditions listed above. We look forward to providing you with an unforgettable travel experience.
